2009 Worcester County VP Day

Seven members from our club participated at the Worcester County Visual Presentation Day in Lancaster this morning. Sam was our only Cloverbud presenting: Great Job, Sam!!

Of the 6 Junior Members presenting, 4 were chosen to present at State and 2 were chosen as Alternates. Gabby and Gabriella each also received a special green ribbon, for having Big-E-quality presentations. Congratulations to all who presented!!!

Helping Hands at a Yellow Ribbon Event

5 members of our club volunteered at a Yellow Ribbon Event yesterday, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Worcester. Our club provided entertainment/activities for children of military personnel while their parents attended conference workshops, preparing for deployment.

Molly, Brianna, Ally, Noah & Tori assisted the youngsters in making BooBoo Bunnies. They also joined the kids in making cards and play-doh creations, and played some games.

Massachusetts 4-H Rabbit Workshop

The 28th annual statewide Rabbit Workshop will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School on Pleasant Street in Upton!

Happy Holidays!

Wow, so December just flew right by and I never posted on the blog! Sorry! Our Holiday party scheduled for the 19th got snowed out, so we'll celebrate with a HAPPY NEW YEAR party at our next meeting, on January 9th instead! Looking forward to seeing everyone then! We can take a club photo with everyone wearing their new Upton 4-H Club T-shirts!

Rabbit & Cavy Club info

The Cuddly Critters Rabbit & Cavy Club held its monthly meeting last night.

We learned about Winter Care for Outside Rabbits, and then we learned about different Body Types of rabbits.

Some new friends in our club: (l to r)

Sam with his Himilayan bunny "Hoppy", Arianna with her cavy "Cookie Dough", Markenson with his Flemish Giant "Thunder", and Taylor with her bunny "Oreo"!
